What is the difference between our 2 locations? We opened our original zoo- The Reptarium Annex- in 2018. This humble reptile zoo started in a small storefront on the west side of Van Dyke in Utica. Over the years our popularity and business grew until it out-grew the building we were in, so we made the decision to expand to the much larger building directly across the street- LegaSea Aquarium and Reptarium! This new location hosts a larger reptile section, a new aquatic section and a few mammals as well. However, we still maintain our smaller original building which we also have filled with over 150 reptiles! Now The Reptarium Annex has become our private event center, while LegaSea is open to the public. Every option includes Hands-On Interactions!


🌟 LegaSea Aquarium and The Reptarium Zoo Field Trip

📍 Location: 45550 Van Dyke Ave, Utica, MI 48317 (New Expansion)

This self guided experience at LegaSea allows everyone to explore the zoo, which hosts a reptile section, aquatic section and a few mammals. We have staff stationed throughout the building that will allow your guests to hold and interact with the animals as they are going through the zoo. (interacting with the mammals is an additional cost that can be purchased at the front counter)

  • ✅ Available between 11 AM and 7 PM Daily 
  • ✅ 1.5 hour visit 
  • ✅ $12 per attendee- please include chaperones
  • ✅ Minimum 25 person requirement- No maximum limit
  • ✅ Self Guided

No Food is permitted in LegaSea- but it is walking distance from Grant Park which has tables and pavilions 

***Final count and payment due 10 days before the event. Additional unregistered guests may pay full price admission at the door.

🌟 The Reptarium Annex Private Field Trip

📍 Location: 45559 Van Dyke Ave, Utica, MI 48317 (Original Building) 

This private field trip includes a guided, hands-on tour of our original reptile zoo featuring over 100 Reptiles. One of our experienced animal educators will introduce 10–15 reptiles while sharing fun facts and answering questions.

  • ✅ Scheduled daily between 10 AM and 6 PM
  • ✅ 1 hour visit – $250 
  • ✅ Up to 25 people included - Maximum 40 person capacity
  • ✅ No minimum requirement
  • ✅ Located directly across the street from LegaSea
  • ✅ Available for corporate events

🌟 Bring the Zoo to You

Let us bring our animals to your location!

This mobile experience includes a 1-hour educational presentation with 10–15 animals, including snakes, lizards, turtles, a baby alligator, and more! Everyone will get a chance to hold and interact with the animals.

  • ✅ No guest limit 
  • ✅ Can be indoors or outdoors (temps must be above 70 if outdoors)
  • ✅ 1 hour – $400
  • ✅ Additional hours – $350 each
  • ✅ 30 min presentations – $250 each (2 minimum)

*Travel fee applies if location is more than 20 miles away. We are unable to travel outside of Michigan
